Night Of the Champions With Out Of Sight FAITH Speaker Jake Olson

The Night of Champions youth outreach is a very exciting and powerful one-night ministry event, held every year at Azusa Pacific University and sponsored by the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

This ministry focuses on reaching unchurched youth by offering them an opportunity to meet sports and entertainment heroes, and listen to their personal testimonies concerning their relationship with Jesus Christ.

We aim to create a Christian environment that is not intimidating, as well as a program of activities that will be attractive to non-Christian teenagers. We accomplish this in part by inviting numerous Christian performers (such as bands, athletes, comedians, and actors) to volunteer a night of their time to entertain these youth and make them feel comfortable and excited to be in a Christian environment.

While the entertainment aspect of the Night of Champions has become very popular, the strongest impact of our ministry has always come through the personal testimonies given by our guest speakers. This part of the program, called the Main Event, is always the highly anticipated climax of the night, and includes several on-stage interviews with well-known Christian athletes, actors, and other personalities who desire to share the love of Jesus Chris
t with the youth of Southern California. The night concludes with a short presentation of the Gospel message by a local pastor, followed by an invitation to make first-time or renewed commitments to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, an invitation that changes the lives of hundreds of youth every year.
